Jewellery will last long and keep its value when treated well. Jewellery should be kept separate from each other otherwise they might get scratched. The chains should be kept hung to avoid tight folds.
Jewellery should be put on last and taken off first when used to avoid damage caused by for example hairspray or perfumes. You should avoid using jewellery in shower or in sauna, or when sleeping because detergents, chemicals and high temperatures can strain the materials. When sleeping impurities of the skin can create bacterial strain on the jewellery.
